nike free marks ten years since Nike first introduced the ultra-flexible Nike Free (remember those ads featuring trainers rolled up into cubes?). To mark the occasion, the Oregon-based sneaker brand has released its best iterations yet: the new nike free 5.0 and 5.0.

The updated range features a redesigned Free sole with hexagonal grooves, which Nike says increases flexibility in multiple directions, allowing more natural foot movement. As well as the now standard Flywire tech, the nike free 3.0 uppers also feature Nike's ultra-light, sock-like Flyknit, making them lighter than ever. (Thanks to the recently released Magista boot, expect to see Flyknit all over the World Cup this summer, too.)

As ever, the Free comes in a variety of soles based on your barefoot experience, ranging from the cushioned 5.0 to the nike free trainer 5.0 And, although it won't arrive in stores until April, you can order now through NikeID and have your own customized pair - rainbow coloured upper, anyone? - by the time the regular version hits the shelves.
