new kit was designed in Warrington by a specialist team at the European headquarters of sportswear giant New Balance.
The ECHO was given an exclusive tour of the  new balance 996  for the strip was first thought up.Sport and design is at the heart of everything in the headquarters and visitors are greeted by a giant chicken made out of insoles when they arrive in reception.This is a reminder of the history of the company, when William Riley based the design of his shoe on the way a chicken balances when it walks.
The building, at a business park in Birchwood, is the global office for the football arm of 
It is here that all the kit designs are drawn up and deals made between football clubs and the company.
General manager of the football branch of New Balance Richard Wright told the ECHO: “We look after the world from here.
“For example if Singapore want Liverpool shirts, every design and product development is done here.”
